Project on Zero-Domestic-Violence Communities | |
|
In October 2002, the Center launched
the Project on Zero-Domestic
-Violence Communities jointly with the County
Women’s Federation.
Reception of complaints of domestic violence and
psychological
counseling room were set up in the Center. All 17
town and village police
stations set up receptions for complaints. An injury
inspection center was
also set up.
The Project aims at publicizing law within
communities to launch
comprehensive control of domestic violence so as to
minimize and
eliminate domestic violence with joint efforts.
The objective of the Project is, on the one hand, to
stop domestic violence
at its very beginning by prevention and mitigation,
and on the other hand,
to intervene timely to prevent it from going on and
becoming worse.
Seasoning investigation is required to ensure one
hundred percent of intervention.
Five training activities have been conducted after
the Project was launched, which involved working
staffs from the public security organ, court,
procuratorate, judicial agencies and the 3-tier
network. 210 time/piece complaints were received,
including 15 cases of litigation and 56 cases of
non-litigation/disciplinary education. The rate of
intervention is 100 per cent which earn women’s full
satisfaction.
